The Italian website (liberto.it) says Sabas is flying into Portland this week to get a physical examination, and if it goes well, the blazers will give him a 2 year, 10 million dollar contract. Yeahhh... RRRrrriiiiigggghhhttt, In your dreams. I hate to break the news to Arvydas Sabonis fans, but this guy is so fat hes not even going to be able to fit through the doors of the plane. And there is no way hes gonna be able to make it through the 82 game season. All i can think of is.. what a waiste of money?! If the blazers want to get themselves a center they need to throw an offer at free agent Michael Olowokandi who played for the clippers last season. With all this talk of the Blazers making a trade with the Timberwolves, why not make a blockbuster. Slim possibility.!.But hey.!.We all know Bob Whitsit... ESPN Insider says the Blazers are 1 in a handfull of teams trying to pry Gary Payton away from the Sonics. An offer of Dale Davis and Damon stoudamire could be enough. But i doubt its going to happen, we've been hearing this rumor for 2 years now. 7/26 Blazers4Eva |
The LA times says Arvydas Sabonis has been in contact with the LA Lakers and there's a possiblilty that he could be wearing a lakers uniform next season. I think there is more chances of Sabas Joining the Lakers than there is him joining the blazers. 1- He doesn't have to face shaq and get his booty knocked around the court infront of everyone. 2- He doesn't get wacked in the face with a towel by sheed.. ESPN's Chad Ford says Rasheed Wallace and Dale Davis could be enough to get Kevin Garnett out of Minnesota. But Portland did this, they would need a new center. I think this would be a great trade. We would be trading a bad attitude player (sheed), who I think sets a negative example on and off the court, and dale... i really like that guy, but if we gotta give him up to get KG, do it.. 7/21 Blazers4Eva |
ESPN's Chad Ford says the blazers could end up sending Damon Stoudamire, Dale Davis and Bonzi Wells to the T-Wolves for Nesterovic, Terrell Brandon, Wally Szczerbiak and Anthony Peeler.
